“Enjoying the Road Trip” | May 24, 2026

“Go your way; behold, I am sending you out as lambs in the midst of wolves.” — Luke 10:3

Jesus sends out the seventy-two with both warning and joy. The mission would not always be easy, but it would always be worth it. Pastor Scott reminded us that discipleship is more than reaching a destination—it is learning to enjoy the journey with Jesus. Along the way, God reveals truth, provides blessing, and invites His people into joy that goes deeper than circumstances or success.

  • The disciples returned rejoicing at what God had done through them.
  • Kingdom work includes challenge, but also deep joy.

Enjoy the Destination More

v 20

  • Jesus redirected their excitement toward eternity.
  • The greatest blessing was not power over demons—but belonging to God.
  • Temporary victories matter less than eternal identity.

Enjoy the Revelations You Have

  • Jesus continually revealed the heart and kingdom of God.
  • Revelation is a gift received through relationship and obedience.
  • What many longed to see, the disciples were witnessing firsthand.

Enjoy the Blessings You Have
